Bearer’s app has been designed to automatically allocate parcels to appropriate couriers according to the parcel’s size, so it is very important that you choose the right parcel size when placing an order.
To help you categorize what type of parcel size to select when placing an order, our accepted parcel sizes are set out below:
This one is suitable for your small items. The size of an A4 sheet of paper, you can fill it with items up to a total of 1.5 kilograms.
When your items are a little heavier or more voluminous, you need to select “Small Box”. By heavier, we mean more than 1.5 Kg and up to 3.5 Kg max, and by more voluminous we mean up to a maximum of 34 x 32 x 10 cm.
You can fill this one up with a reasonable amount of fine things. To be clear, the limit is up to 7.0 Kg, but even if your parcel is not heavy but big, you should select this type of box when placing an order.
We’d recommend just using a box of a similar size to 34 x 32 x 25 cm max to put your parcel in. Make sure to secure it in the box so that it will stay safe.
Put the delivery item in a suitable box or wrap it tightly in an evenly shaped form.
Your packaging materials need to be hard enough as you want a strong protector for your products to travel in. Please note that the box should not be old or damaged because it could result in damage to your products.
Fill empty spaces with packaging to keep your parcel in its place and prevent any shattering.
Seal the package with strong tape.
If your parcel is fragile, sharp, or contains sensitive items that should be handled with care, please do the following in addition to the above:
Double-box your parcel. (Place the parcel in another container and then inside the box and secure it with foam, bubble wrap, or newspaper to prevent it from rattling).
Pack and cover each of the items with foam, bubble wrap, or newspaper separately and then put them inside the box so that they don’t damage each other.
Pay extra attention to the edges and sharp corners. It is better to cover them with tape to prevent damage.
Mark the box with appropriate labels. (For example: write ‘contains glass’, ‘fragile’, etc.).
